Our team has a combined experience of over 30 years in the areas of Loss Prevention, Security, Security Assessments, Military and Civilian Law Enforcement and Private Security Escorts. Unlike other security companies that generically place a plan to protect your assets. We take the time to effectively customize our protection strategy specifically around your assets and needs.
Meet the Executive Team
Gerry Berrios, PSP
Founder/CEO
Gerry Berrios is a seasoned security professional in all aspects of security and loss prevention. Gerry started his career with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff while in college. He soon transitioned to the Florida Dept of Corrections. Gerry was an officer at the Hendry County Correctional Institute, which was a medium security prison. While he served in this post. He assisted with the transportation of some of Florida’s most dangerous prisoners to other Florida prisons around the state. In addition to working with the Florida Dept of Corrections. He also worked alongside the Florida Dept of Juvenile Justice. He was responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Naples, FL facility. Gerry eventually rose to the rank of Corporal. After serving this time with the Florida Correctional System. Gerry wanted to enlist in the Navy. He enlisted as a Master At Arms and was then posted to serve at the Miami Naval Operations Support Center. Gerry then graduated from the Naval military law enforcement academy. He was then responsible for training new Sailors on base security and anti-terrorism training. After his service, Gerry was an Asset Protection Manager for both retailers Macys and Bealls. The stores that were under his direction were able to see a significant drop in theft and shrinkage during his first year. He was also responsible for training new loss prevention agents in the field. In his most recent position, Gerry is responsible for implementing new security systems and protocols for over 140 communities throughout the state of Florida. Gerry is also ASIS Board Certified as a Physical Security Professional.
Kathryn Berrios, M.Ed
Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer
Kathryn Berrios is in her tenth year teaching and has her Masters degree in Special Education. Prior to her career in education, she worked in Construction Sales and Management for seven years. Kathryn’s impressive resume also includes her Bachelor’s degree in Communication focusing on: Public Relations, Marketing, and Advertising. Her vast career experience has included teaching and working with people from all walks of life. Her superior skills in education, management, sales, and marketing bring a wealth of talents to Florida Tier One Security.
